On The Pulse: Gratitude & Community with General Managers Alexa + Diana

At O2, gratitude isn’t reserved for the holidays, it’s a thread woven through how we move, lead, and gather. This month, we’re highlighting two women who embody that spirit with ease: General Managers Alexa Kubica of O2 Aspen and Diana Rodgers of O2 Dallas.

Both women balance leadership with teaching, giving them a rare vantage point into what makes our O2 community feel connected and intentional. In honor of the season, we sat down with them to explore how gratitude informs their teaching, our teams, and the energy of our studios — reminding us that gratitude often lives in the small, everyday exchanges that make our spaces feel like home.

GRATITUDE AT O2

O2: How do you see gratitude show up in our studios — whether between clients, instructors, or team members?

Alexa: "I think gratitude really shines through in the small, everyday moments. Taking time to appreciate the little things helps us stay grounded and positive. It also sets the tone for the day and creates a warm, welcoming energy in our space."

Diana: "A book I’ve been reading says to not only show routine thanks, but express exceptional gratitude by acknowledging the good in every person every day. I feel like our team strives to do this among our staff and our clients, and the result is more joy for everyone."

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

O2: Both of you are practitioners but also yoga teachers. Are there specific teachings or philosophies in your movement practices that have shaped your understanding of gratitude?

Alexa: "My yoga practice is deeply intertwined with nature. I’ve learned to root my gratitude in the most essential elements of life: fresh air, clean water, and the grounding presence of the earth. When I acknowledge the gifts nature offers us every day, it opens a portal to deeper connection, both with myself and with the people around me."

Diana: "I always teach to the 8 limbs of yoga. The first two limbs focus on contentment, truthfulness, and internal discipline for a healthy and spiritual life. Keeping my focus on this helps me maintain gratitude in all things."

COMMUNITY BUILDERS

O2: You see the ins and outs of O2. What makes the O2 community in your city special?

Alexa: "We’re incredibly fortunate to have a team of humans who are deeply dedicated to their craft and who genuinely love being part of O2. When you have a team with that kind of energy, it becomes a magnet for the community. You can feel the joy, love, and passion that fill our space every single day."

Diana: "O2 has the most beautiful space in Dallas to work out. Our studio feels like a yoga treehouse, looking out into nature and escaping from the outside world. Our staff and members fill this beautiful space with warm, inclusive energy. It’s the most special environment to move and breathe."

IN PRACTICE

O2: What are some small, accessible ways people can begin a gratitude practice?

Diana: "Mindset is everything. What you think is what you realize. When the focus is on joy and all that’s good in your life, then you realize you have so much to be grateful for."

Alexa: "I completely agree with Diana that it starts with mindset. When you intentionally shift your perspective to notice the good, the light, and the positive, you naturally begin to attract more of it into your life."

RITUAL

O2: The holidays are around the corner — what’s one O2 item or ritual you’re gifting your family or friends this season?

Alexa: "Stateside’s softest fleece sets always! You can’t live in a cold weather town without them."

Diana: "I gifted my kids AVST gel and Lumion spray for post-sports workouts to keep skin clear. And of course I bought BOTH Parke sets for my daughter!"

MOVEMENT

O2: How do you think movement helps inspire gratitude?

Alexa: "Movement impacts far more than the physical body. It’s a way to move through and release energy, emotions, and thoughts, and I’m grateful to have a practice that supports not only the outer, physical layers but also the more subtle bodies beneath them."

Diana: "Every time I practice I end with gratitude for my healthy body that can move, sweat, and breathe in union with everyone around me. Moving together as a class is the most energizing and inspiring way to move."

FESTIVITIES

O2: What are you most excited about happening at O2 this season?

Alexa: "Our infrared heat!!! A dream we’ve had for many years, and it’s such a gift to see it come alive in our studio and witness our students experience the benefits of it."

Diana: "Our Holiday Party was so much fun for shopping and celebrating together. I'm looking forward to our Member Appreciation Week- will be fun to show gratitude to our community with discounts and special offers!"

STAYING IN MOTION

O2: What helps you stay balanced and keep moving these days?

Alexa: "Nothing brings me more joy than when I’m able to sneak up into a yoga or Pilates class in the middle of my workday. But if that’s not possible, getting outside to exercise always resets my energy and fills my cup."

Diana: "I love the combination of yoga, reformer or mat Pilates, and walking my dogs."

This month’s conversation with Alexa and Diana illuminates what truly defines O2: leaders who embody gratitude with depth, intention, and grace. Their presence shapes the energy of Aspen and Dallas in ways that are felt the moment you walk through the  door, and we’re profoundly grateful for the way they guide, support, and elevate our studios each day.

You’ll find them on our floors supporting our team and community, as well as in the yoga studio throughout the week- leading classes that inspire connection, movement, and the sense of gratitude we’re celebrating this season.
