The Summer of Outdoor Adventure: Trail Mix Edition
Summertime is arguably the best time. The last few months have been less than stellar, but hopefully it has brought a fresh and healthy perspective on life and our intentions going forward. What I hope it's brought up is our love for the outdoors and the importance of connecting with nature for our mental health.
Whether you are hiking, walking, biking or beyond, nothing says summer activity quite like a great trail mix for the road. This may be the most versatile and fun snack to make, because you can make it just about any way you want. This on-the-go snack can be made a million different ways. Mix up your favorite dried fruit, nuts and/or dried veggies for a nutritious nibble. Here are two recipes we love:
1/4 cup dried mango
1/4 cup pistachios
1/4 cup salted almonds
1/4 goji berries
1/4 vegan chocolate chips
1/4 salted cashews
1/4 goji cranberries
1/4 salted almonds
